Policy Themes

Another way to look at the nine policy briefs is through their grouping into three key themes that will shape the Regional Sustainability Strategy. Three CRD policy papers under each theme provide a framework for the goals and policies. The three themes are as follows:

What do themes show?

Each theme shows the relationships between the policy topics and outlines common policy goals. Themes help us to see where the region currently is, in terms of existing policy, and where more could be done in shifting towards sustainability. Linking policies across the three themes will achieve a greater effect than the sum of their individual effects.
