Our region has a rich inheritance of lands and waters of great beauty and biophysical diversity. Many areas are of natural and international significance. Regional residents place great value on this endowment and look to regional and municipal decision makers to ensure that environmental quality is carefully stewarded and enhanced. Protected areas, open spaces and marine environments help to facilitate and support our region's ecological health.
To learn more about the regional context and policy options developed to support ecological health in the region read the Ecological Health Policy Option Paper.
